11:00–12:00 ScienceDirect AI and Academic Research

The ScienceDirect AI service has been expanded to LeapSpace, which is powered by data from Scopus, ScienceDirect, and full-text scientific articles from third parties. LeapSpace is an AI-supported research workspace that helps researchers explore topics, review the literature, and identify relevant materials, authors, and funding opportunities. 12:15–13:30 Gold Open Access Publishing and Academic Research

We will explore open access, the read-and-publish agreement concluded between HEAL-Link and Elsevier, and how to navigate the open access platform. To support researchers in sharing their work in the way that best suits them, almost all of Elsevier’s more than 3,000 journals offer open access publishing options. More than 890 of these are fully Open Access (Gold OA). Active participation is encouraged, including questions and discussion.
