Creating an author profile in Scopus happens automatically when you publish in journals indexed by Scopus. However, it is important to check and keep your profile up to date by submitting corrections (merging multiple profiles) when necessary and by linking your Scopus Author ID with your ORCID iD for a more complete representation of your research activity.
The Scopus Author Identifier is a unique identifier automatically assigned to authors when they publish in journals indexed by Scopus. No prior registration or profile creation is required. Once your publication is included in the Scopus database, a Scopus Author ID will be assigned to you.
To find your Scopus Author ID, you can search for your name on the Scopus website. If you notice inaccuracies or omissions in your profile, such as incorrect or missing publications, you can submit a correction request using the “Author Feedback” feature provided by Scopus.
Additionally, it is recommended to link your Scopus Author ID with your ORCID iD, an internationally recognized author identifier. This can be done through your Scopus profile by selecting “Connect to ORCID” and following the authorization process.
